The numbers 737 are commonly associated with the Boeing 737 aircraft. So a site geared toward plane enthusiasts is an obvious choice for this domain name. However, 737 is also the area code for a section of central Texas. A real estate or business directory for this region would be an appropriate use for this the name as well.
Be the proud owner of one of only 1000 3 character .net domain names. Unique names such as this carry a collectible value.
This is a no
reserve auction and bidding starts at $1. If your pre-bid is over $100 and it wins the auction, you will get a 2% cashback bonus. You may place your pre-bid now to instantly get in on the action.
Good luck, and happy bidding!

AS a writer and an 'expert' here on BIDO, I'm sure many people will expect me to write a tome on this, a plethora of details discussing my personal views on this domain. Well, if that's what you were hoping for, I apologize in advance.

There are some things that need a dressing or a mask (and in some cases, a completely new identity) to sell. Sometimes, all I see on the market are things that have no intricate -- or logical -- value at which this pseudo-valuation needs to be explained first-hand to potential buyers. "You should buy my ReallyReallyCoolDomain.ws because (enter irrational explanation here)." I'm not tired of these domains so much as I am of reading about what makes a bad domain good.
And here, finally, is a domain that needs no introduction. This isn't a perfect domain but it's one that requires no long-winded set-up to. It requires no "selling," no explanation of value or any propaganda to strike interest with. So I apologize to those who were expecting me -- a writer -- to write at lengths about this domain. I'm a writer, yes, but I'm also a domainer, one who sees the obvious value of this thing without much of a second-guess. If you cannot see the value in this, well, then I don't believe you are in the right industry.
Anything less than an early four-figure sale would be an atrocity. But of course, a domain will sell for whatever the highest bidder bids. collapse

This is another respectable .net offering from Bido.
737 in the area of the plane industry is not generic, in my opinion, so beware that there is a potential TM issue in usage of 737.net. Please dont park it and put a load of plane ads up if you win it.

I have been appraising, registering, buying and selling domain names for over 10 years now. I am a co-owner of http://www.DnDoc.com, a site that specialises in rare one word dictionary domain names, mostly .coms.
I have an MBA and am currently undertaking an LLM, studying Intellectual Property on the Internet (I am not an attorney of law, nor am I training to be, but I feel that legal/TM issues are sometimes overlooked by domainers in the earlier years of their experience).

When someone says 737 to me, I immediately think of the Boeing 737...but I use to work on planes. So 737 might mean something different to someone else. Doing a search for 737 area code, the best I could find is that it's a suspended area code for Austin, TX.
I'm sure there are avid Boeing 737 fans out there to populate this site if it were built with the fans in mind.

Gotta love this number combination. This should easily go for at least mid xxx to mid x,xxx. There is a similar domain on sedo 589.net which has reached the total bid price of $560 as I type. This domain name should be considered a flip, only because it would make more sense in the hands of a company which develops a product that has 737 featured in its model name or number. I bought my first domain for $8, sold it within 72 hours for $500. I put the $8 back in my pocket and have operated in the black (positive) every since. I have a portfolio of a few hundred domains. My Portfolio is divided in 3 categories; Flips, Development, and Investment. The Flips category pays the bills for all the other domains, the development domains are for me to play with, and the investment portion is what I consider to be my retirement, on top of my IRA, 401K, etc.
I am a firm believer that the domain market is a secure investment with ALOT of room for growth and potential. Granted, the days of hand-regging one word domains and 3L.coms are over BUT ANYONE can make a name for themselves in this business with $8, a passion to learn, and time to dedicate.
This economy has provided a two fold experience for domainers, for some it is a time that portfolios must be skimmed down for financial reasons, for others it is a time to buy domains they couldn't of touched 2 years ago..
I am fortunate to be one of the investors who can buy in this current market. So that is what I am doing at the moment, a little development and a lot of buying.. collapse

If you keep up on your news, LA Times, NY Times, CNN, etc., you can read some very interesting articles about the recent explosion in the "airplane parking" industry. Graveyards and old runways being used to store large quantities of commercial aircraft put into storage or being dismantled for aftermarket parts and so on.
There is a market out there for used large and commercial aircraft. Third world countries and international firms buy these planes. Graveyard mechanics make their money here and it's virtually unknown to the common world. There's an entire food chain behind the scenes.
That said, as a marketing guy who loves a challenge, I like the fact that it's a 3 digit domain. I like the keyword and I can think of a handful of great development ideas for it.
With the right concept you could really target a niche market in the airplane industry. 737.com is parked.
Learn to squeeze some juice out of this domain and you can pick up the .com later and take it from there. Money can be made in the least expected - or better said unknown - places.

These 3 letter domain names are quickly becoming modern day gemstones. It is great if Boeing does not impose itself legally, this will be a perfect money maker soon to come with Adsense and perhaps even Amazon affiliates. This is a great domain name for an air plane enthusiast forum or community. However, I cannot picture it being used for any traditional commercial purposes. I would say it is worth a thousand at most for that fact.

I'm a real estate investor, website designer, domain reseller and domain name adviser. I have been successfully buying and selling domains for over 15 years. I recently open and run a private reseller domain market at CityMonster.com to buy, sell and trade my premium private domains.
One of my major Pet Peeves is:
1) Domain Appraisals - It is ridiculous to pay a registrar, domain aftermarkets or someone for their opinion on your domain. Until ICANN officially certifies companies to do domain appraisals I will continue to see this service as credible as a fortune teller (waste of money).
Domain appraisal schemes are a million dollar market for domain sites! Why? The ICANN has not certified none of them! Why are we paying them?
The most expensive domains I sold were the ones to be consider "Very Poor Rating" by domain appraisal standards. wake-up people!
My Tips:
I treat domain names like Real Estate. Because in reality that's all a domain name is (online virtual property).
Tip on getting the most out of a domain when buying and/or selling:
Learn and follow the market. Follow the hottest products, news or sites. Follow trends. When a trend dies so does the domain key-worded for that trend. Learn when to sell and when to hold. Remember a domain is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. No more, nothing less. collapse
