This would make a great name for a marketing campaign for the manufacturers of organic clothing and other clothing industry voices to get the word out and encourage people to dress organic. There's no better name for an informational website geared towards consumers to learn more about wearing organic clothing.
DressOrganic.com would make a great domain for people to buy organic
clothing from the plethora of organic clothing outlets online, and also
would be a good site to locate organic clothing manufacturers,
factories, wholesalers etc.
The site could also be built into a niche social network for people and businesses interested in the topic. The domain would make a great
forum for like minded people to discuss their decision to dress organic
and share ideas and interact with each other. Going Green is a very hot
topic nowadays and the DressOrganic.com domain would make a bold
statement for a marketing campaign, similar to how the "Got Milk"
campaign to brought awareness to that industry.
A search on Google brings a very large number of advertisers bidding for the term.
Google's
keyword tool reports 3,600 searches per month for the phrase, and the
expanded results bring a huge number of searches and people interested
in the overall topic.
Here are a couple of comparable sales: OrganicTextiles.com sold for $1,100 in April, 2007 OrganicResources.com sold for $2,088 in April, 2008

While I would obviously much prefer organicdress.com, this one still has a potential - not so much for somebody parking it, but for an end-user involved in the sale or promotion of organic clothes. Within the context of a wider awareness of environmental issues and a taste for "natural" fabrics, there is a future for such names. If the buyer does not intend to develop it, I would suggest to the future owner to be ready to keep it until the right buyer comes - it might take a few years.

"Dress organic" on the other hand, is meant to stand alone. You can not complete this phrase as in previous examples given. "Dress organic clothes", for example, just doesnt make any sense at all.
So does "dress organic" sound correct as a complete stand-alone term? To me, it is awkward-sounding and improper. I believe that "dress organically" would be the proper way to communicate the intended concept on a stand-alone basis. And as of this writing my whois search reports: "DressOrganically.com is available". And I am not going to register that name, not even for $8.

There are only three reasons for a domain investor to buy a name: - park it for traffic - develop it for ad revenue - sell (or lease) it to an end-user (or let inspire you to start a business: install a drop-ship sales catalog, a lead-generation directory site, etc., which isn't really domain investing anymore)
For investors seeking an Organic Clothing Industry domain to park, the great name to have would be OrganicClothing.com, not DressOrganic.com. (Perhaps OrganicDress.com, but not "DressOrganic.com".)
DressOrganic only makes sense as a verb+object with 'you' as the implied subject. What do we find if we look at other verb+object apparel names?
You can register WearSweaters right now in all extensions; yes dot-com included. (If you act on this tip, how about buying me a beer?)
WearWool.com is registered only in .com, and even that is undeveloped.
Yeah, "GotMilk" was a nice campaign; but "DrinkMilk" is undeveloped in all extensions, except that dot-org is redirected to a real end-user.
A domain investor has no need to "get the word out and encourage people to dress organic." But what about manufacturers or retailers specializing in organic clothing? What about value to end-users?
DressOrganic.com could host a drop-shipper's clothing catalog site, or an industry consortium promotional site, or an on-line community of eco-philiacs who seek no profit. But unless more than one end-user is bidding, the domain won't go for much. (An end-user is someone who intends to die still owning the domain.)
Forecast: If multiple end-users are bidding against each other, it could go between $700 and $1,750; otherwise $100 to $500. collapse

While this domain doesn't make sense to me, I believe it can be branded for the right product as described in the auction commentary. A search for "organic clothes" in Google bring up relative companies who may find this domain useful in a marketing campaign.
Many people are concerned about food and the chemicals used to grow and process them, therefore switching to organic. "Organic" is the current trend in food. It's only a matter of time before it makes its marketing appearance with clothes.

This domain's market does have a strong following, both "Dress" and "Organic" are in high demand as part of combination phrases. However, the phrase "Dress Organic" seems more targeted to promoting organic dresses rather than selling them.
Considering this was registered 2 years ago and no one was interested enough to buy a .net or hyphen, I would guess that if there was a market for this domain it is vanishing with the rest of the economy.

One one hand it's a clear directive to do something. On the other hand, however, it's a directive to 'dress organic'. Where's the value in that?
I can see maybe it has a use as a earth minded public service campaign to get people to dress in bio-degradable clothing. But how would that be monetized and hence lend value to this name?
