PARKS of LIVE Domainer

Biography:

I've been active on the web since 1995 and began aggressively building my domain portfolio in 2004. My interest in the development of the semantic web led me to be more outspoken in the domaining community. I believe whole heartedly that it is domain owners and savvy web developers who have the power to enhance the web (and the world) in ways that are still mostly unimaginable. By participating as an expert on Bido I plan to bring a developers perspective into the fold and assist in shedding light on the development potential of the domains which are offered up for auction.

I like ASBESTOSCONSULTANT.COM because of it's descriptive qualities, but it seems like AsbestosSurveyor or AsbestosInspector would be a more applicable fit for the niche. It's eighteen (18) characters long and has 27,200 instances on Google. If you're seriously considering bidding on this domain be sure to read David Carter's opinion in its entirety.

If a representative from Everlast or Adidas does not end up bidding on BOXINGBOOTS.COM then I advise whoever wins this category killer domain to pick up the phone.

DebtNews.com is a MOUNTAIN of a domain name. It's an 8 letter dotcom with two very targeted and meaningful keywords in it. News and solutions about debt relief is a common query that (unfortunately) hundred's of millions of people around the world are performing on an annual basis.

By teaching and helping to foster conversations about debt, I can see DebtNews.com becoming a PRIME destination (hub) for both debt professionals and those suffering the brutal wrath of debt. I believe that there will only be an increase of people who will be interested in sharing their experiences and knowledge about debt because it is such a far reaching, ubiquitous crisis.

Debt management and debt settlement businesses are popping up all over the web. I would suggest developing this domain in phases.

1st, into an aggregator of the most authentic, debt related professionals on the planet. (This means find debt consultants with active blogs.) They can help you build your content, all the while expanding awareness about the services that they offer.

Secondly, make it easy for debtors to create an account and interact with the site in a meaningful manner. This is the other land mass that DebtNews.com needs to reach.

Third, Once you have the content and the traffic, advertisers always follow. They'll pay for the bridge you build.

DebtNews.com could be a win-win-win web portal.

* Professionals offer and sell their services.
* Consumers find what they're looking for.
* Advertisers Get more eyes to advert
(or in this case assist.)

Debt is serious business. It's a lot like cancer. It makes no prejudices to whom it can affect and once it has carved its way into a person, it is very difficult to ever be reversed. But it can be undone.

As the new owner of DebtNews.com you could help make miracles. Debt is tricky business too. Some know the tricks, and some get tricked. You could help pull back the curtain.

I would like to see the winning bidder of DebtNews.com embrace some of the Web2.0/Social Media qualities of domain development and implement them into the build out of DebtNews.com. There is no site on the web doing it quite right yet. In my research I've only encountered mostly just the same scammy, text-ad infested plethoras. BTW, I'm not saying that there aren't some good sites out there, because there are. After you buy DebtNews.com -> TEAM UP WITH THEM.

If you build a site that offers vision, hope, and authentic leadership across a genre which is typically filled with vermin, you will greatly increase your chances of it going viral and gaining traction.

Domains that are developed into highly useful, interactive portals of TRUST, is where the web is headed. These types of developed domains are sure to win the hearts and minds of many and spread like wildfire. There's a reason the web is becoming so successful and it has nothing to do with parked pages.

P.S. Don't buy DebtNews.com if you plan on sitting on it or flipping it. Take some action with this one. It's a perfect candidate to help facilitate change. And don't you know the whole world could use a little right now...

Good luck!

Developing this domain is it's only hope. Martin Goetzinger has some good ideas. I especially like #2 in his list.

If you win eDayCare.com, please promise me this, don't turn it into a brand for a brick and mortar daycare service provider. I mean, could you actually imagine parents telling other parents that they need to run and pick their kids up from eDayCare? It would be another story if parents could simply upload and download their little brats.

Personally I have a new rule, DON'T INVEST IN BORING DOMAINS, and to me EQUITYGRANT.COM is a very boring domain name. It might be a little more attractive if it were plural though. If you think you can locate and convince the right end user (an organization or gov. agency) that they absolutely need this domain, then go for it.

There's approx. 51,000 google instances for the term in quotes. The .net and the .org are still available. Estibot says it's worth $1,400 USD. I say it's worth nothing until it's developed and actually being used. If you can't visualize how to make that happen, then I would strongly urge that you pass on EQUITYGRANT.COM.

I won't be bidding on FixedLoans.com today because I believe the bid submissions that it's going to receive will far exceed my current domain buying budget. It definitely a "buyers market" domain purchase opportunity. If you want this domain be prepared to BID CONFIDENTLY.

I blogged more in depth about FIXEDLOANS.COM, see link:

FixedLoans.com was the domain name that was up for auction before Bido mysteriously crashed back in August '08. The last bid I recall seeing for FixedLoans.com was for $5,000. I have no idea what to expect this time around, but this is one auction you'll certainly want to be sure and tune in for.

On 8/19/2008 I blogged my opinion about FIXEDLOANS.COM - here's the link: http://xr.com/fixedloans

What's not to love about HARLOT.COM? In terms of development, it could be turned into a respectable erotic photography/video channel that features promotions for some of the world's leading erotic photographer's and film makers. Besides the obvious plethora of development potential, HARLOT.COM is simply an attractive domain name to invest in. It's not vulgar or X-rated. It's a common, descriptive, one word, dictionary .com domain name with over 3,900,000 google instances.

LearnHypnosis.com - I wish this website already existed.

As the world's economies continue to be tossed into upheaval and more and more jobs from the industrial age get devoured by the information age, I suspect a torrent of ex-corporate types to begin aggressively scouring the web for innovative and creative job alternatives that can help them earn a decent living. Learning the art of Hypnosis is definitely a fun idea!

If I owned LearnHypnosis.com, and had it coming up for auction on Bido.com, I'd reach out to the Banyan Hypnosis Center and let them know that LearnHypnosis.com is going up for auction.

They already own domains like:

Hypnosis.org
HypnosisCenter.com
HypnosisInformationLine.com
Hypnosis-Directory.com
Hypnosis.sg

Try contacting Calvin Banyan directly:

calbanyan[at]hypnosiscenter.com
http://twitter.com/calbanyan

Domaintools says that Cal owns about 70 other domains. You know they're all hypnosis related. This guy even wrote the Hypnosis Manifesto!

BTW, Cal looks a lot like Rick Schwartz. Watch this video and tell me what you think. http://blip.tv/play/go0U8ohhhKo2%2Em4v

Hypnotherapy is a very competitive space and it's growing fa$t. All it takes is hooking LearnHypnosis.com up to the right end user (hint-hint..)

Also, check out the hypnotist's equivalent to the domain investor's T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference:

It's called the NGH conference. http://ngh.net

Also see the hypnosis industries social network of hypnotists:
http://thehypnotistsconvention.ning.com/

In the right hands, this domain is worth mid $XX,XXX. I bet if Rick Schwartz bid on LearnHypnosis.com and won it, he could reach out to Cal and close him for six figures :)

Aesthetically, two word domain names that have two letters of the same character running right up next to each other (moteLLoans) always look bad. But that alone is not reason enough to totally vacate MOTELLOANS.COM. Google shows 18,700 instances so there is a small market for this type of financing, just not sure how lucrative it is.
