There's not much of a site, in my opinion, at RockMountains.com and so much more could be done with this great keyword domain in both .us and .com extension - such as a travel site with blog, tips and lodging for the incredible outdoors destinations that the Rocky Mountains hold.
The only hold back here for me would be the extension, but as we've seen before, a great website with great creative and relevant content people search for can survive and surpass its extension if the .com does not already have this holding it up.
Which is the case here in my opinion.

I really like this .us domain. Estibot says it's worth $310. I think that is low. It is gone in all other extensions. Google's keyword tool says the keywords get 210,000 monthly searches. "The Rocky Mountains" gets 33,100. That's a lot of searches. I am not big into development but I think this name could make a great site. You would not get much type-in traffic but it should be easy to rank with some SEO. Names like this to me are a no brainer. A great geo domain with tons of searches. I think this Domain is good for a Information Site about the Rocky Mountains and/or a Travel Site. Lots of monthly searches and with good seo work you have no problem to get visitors on this site. The extension is not really a problem in my opinion with these keywords. high xxx or low xxxx is possible.
